Longmen Grottoes (Longmen Shi Ku)



April 14, 2006: Group photo taken at the Longmen Grottoes, 12km south of Luoyang, Henan Province, PRC. Longmen Shiku were sculptured and chiseled around 493AD when the capital of the Northen Wei Dynasty (386-534AD) was moved from Datong to Louyang.

April 12, 2006: In front of Bao Zheng's Song-dynasty complex. Lord Bao was a judge renowned for his fairness in settling lawsuits in Kaifeng city.

Bodhidharma (Da Mo), Shaolin Temple

Natchpong posted with an Indian monk called Bodhidharma (known to the Chinese as Da Mo), founder of the Mahayana sect of Buddhism (or Zen) and his famous martial arts principles at Shaolin Temple.

April 13, 2006: At Tie Ta Lin (Pagoda Forest) features 243 stupas of different architectural styles(was built in 791 AD and the last is dated back to 1803 AD), near Shaolin Temple, Songshan Mountain, Zhengzhou.
